Sorobon Beach
Sorobon Beach is located on the southeast coast of Bonaire, five miles southeast of the historic center of Kralendijk. Sorobon Beach is one of the three beaches of Lac Bay, a dazzling lagoon with an area of 700 hectares. The other beaches are called Lac Cai Beach and Kontiki Beach. Sorobon Beach and Kontiki Beach are situated on the south side of Lac Bay, while Lac Cai Beach is located on the northeast side.

Sorobon Beach is partially private and partially public. The private part belongs to the Sorobon Beach & Wellness Resort. When entering the waters of Bonaire you must have a Nature Fee. The funds collected from this fee are used to protect the underwater world of Bonaire. It is advisable to purchase the Nature Fee online through STINAPA-Bonaire.

Sorobon Beach is a prime location for windsurfers. A global top location, in fact! This was evident in 2014 when the Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA) organized a windsurfing competition for professionals there. For five days, Sorobon Beach was the backdrop for the world's top windsurfers. But Sorobon Beach isn't just fantastic for the pros; it's also great for those who are learning to windsurf. Lac Bay has some features that are handy for beginners in windsurfing. The lagoon is not deeper than one meter, so you can stand anywhere if you happen to fall off your board unexpectedly. Moreover, if you do fall, there's no need to fear injuring your feet on sharp stones or pointed coral; the bottom of the lagoon consists of fine sand.

Kayaking
In addition to windsurfing, Lac Bay is also a fantastic place for kayaking. The open water of the lagoon is freely accessible for kayaking. However, this does not apply to the mangrove forest section. This highly vulnerable part may only be explored with a kayak or canoe under the guidance of guides.
